Design and Implementation of Color Conversion Module RGB to YCbCr and Vice Versa

In this paper, we present the architecture and design of a color space conversion module. The color space converter module is used for changing the image from RGB color space to YCbCr color space and vice-versa. The color space conversion module was designed using VHDL and was implemented on an FPGA. This design methodology helped us to achieve faster the time to market and also the ability to reuse one physical device across multiple functions.
